Security Industry Association (SIA)

SIA Members continue to benefit from the financial expertise and insights of John Mack for activity on Wall Street and in private equity in the security industry.

Silver Spring, Md. — The Security Industry Association (SIA) has named John Mack of Imperial Capital its 2016 Sandy Jones Volunteer of the Year for his significant contributions to the security industry.

With this award, SIA recognizes Mr. Mack for launching the SIA Investment Trends Committee, which keeps SIA Members abreast of financial developments in the security industry on Wall Street and within private equity. Mr. Mack has been a leader in SIA conferences and webcasts, and he has shared information and forecasts on the security marketplace.

SIA Chairman V. John Stroia will present the 2016 Sandy Jones Volunteer of the Year Award to Mr. Mack at The Advance, SIA’s annual membership meeting, scheduled to occur on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, during ISC West.

“I’m honored to have been selected. It has been a pleasure to be a long-time member of SIA, and I’m even more fortunate to work with devoted industry leaders and the professional management at SIA,” said Mr. Mack. “In particular, it has been rewarding to bring more attention to the security industry from the financial community through the founding of the SIA Investment Trends Committee. I look forward to seeing the committee and financial industry participation in SIA continue to grow in the coming years. I sincerely thank SIA Chairman John Stroia for his recognition, and I look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with SIA on behalf of Imperial Capital.”

“It’s hard to imagine the SIA Investment Trends Committee without John Mack, a few other people know the shape of the security marketplace as well as he,” said Stroia. “John’s continued commitment to following investment trends and sharing his expertise on mergers and acquisitions is more important to us now than ever with recent developments in the industry.”

Mr. Stroia will present SIA award recipients, including the Sandy Jones Volunteer of the Year Award, SIA Chairman’s Award and SIA Committee Chair of the Year Award at The Advance, held during ISC West at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev., on Tuesday, April 5. The Sandy Jones Volunteer of the Year Award is named in honor of Sandra Jones, principal of Sandra Jones and Company, a prolific SIA volunteer and co-founder of the executive conference Securing New Ground®.

Honorees and all SIA Members are welcome to gather for the program from 10:30-11:30 a.m., followed by a free buffet lunch, where members and honorees can network with each other and the SIA Board. Find out more, and register at https://www.securityindustry.org/advance.
