Meet Your SIA Women in Security Forum AmbassadHERs!
The Security Industry Association (SIA) Women in Security Forum (WISF) welcomes the first 10 volunteers who have helped us to kick off the WISF AmbassadHER program! Strategically located across the United States, WISF AmbassadHERs will lead connecting with current and potential members through virtual and in-person outreach in their regions, develop strategies and programs to increase member engagement, provide insights to the WISF Steering Committee on feedback from the community regarding additional outreach and support, promote and support WISF programs through social media and in-person networking in their regions and work with SIA staff to leverage connections and collective action to achieve WISF’s goals.
“The AmbassadHER program satisfies a dual purpose. First, current members have been asking for a way to become more involved and advance the mission of WISF Second, they wish to create an occasion to introduce those in their sphere to WISF, who often can’t attend the many security events,” said SIA WISF Chair Alice DiSanto, vice president of global marketing at Rajant. “AmbassadHERs hardwire both the desire to deepen their commitment and bring WISF into regions unserved by traditional industry gatherings. Localized outreach can only better engagement and fortify the WISF community.”
