Björn Lidefelt

Björn Lidefelt has served as executive vice president and head of HID Global since January 2020. Prior to joining HID, he was chief commercial officer at ASSA ABLOY. Earlier in his career, he was general manager of ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions China in Shanghai, and prior to that, he held various business development and management positions in Stockholm, Hong Kong, and Kuala Lumpur. He began his career in the security industry at ASSA ABLOY in Stockholm in 2005. He holds a Master of Science degree in engineering and industrial management from Linköping University.
Björn has an abiding interest in the power of mobile technology to transform the security industry. He is also a champion of HID’s people – employees, partners, and customers – and is energized by his work with individuals and teams across cultures, backgrounds and geographies. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and watching his sons play football. He is an avid runner and skier.
